Millbrae: DUI driver arrested after meth, pills found in car

MILLBRAE — A driver was arrested near the San Bruno border Wednesday night after police found a smorgasbord of methamphetamine and prescription pills in his car, plus a wad of cash, authorities said.

Shortly after 11 p.m., San Bruno police officers stopped a car traveling near the 900 block of El Camino Real, just past the southern border of San Bruno in the city of Millbrae, Lieut. Ryan Johansen said in a news release Friday.

The driver, San Francisco resident Bryan Orlando Hernandez Rodriguez, 19, was suspected of driving under the influence of drugs, Johansen said.

As they searched the car, officers found various drugs — including methamphetamine, more than the legally allowed 28.5 grams of marijuana, suspected Xanax and suspected Oxycodone — plus a wad of cash.

Hernandez Rodriguez was booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, plus possession of controlled substances with intent to sell them and related charges.

He remains in custody as of Friday morning, according to jail records.

Anyone with information about the incident can call the San Bruno Police Department at 650-616-7100 or sbpdtipline@sanbruno.ca.gov.
