It could not have been much fun for the 49ers Sunday, all the coaches and players standing on the sideline in a total downpour.

Very little went according to plan for either offense, creating some ugly football in incredibly sloppy conditions. But after about three hours, the Niners came out with a 9-0 win.

To celebrate, the heroes of the game — the 49ers defense — took advantage of the rain-drenched turf of FedEx field, throwing it back to with a middle school-style slip-and-slide.

Nick Bosa started the trend after his sack of Case Keenum on the game’s last play. The rookie sensation chose a penguin slide.

Graceful form, arms raised. We’ll give Bosa a 10/10, especially factoring in the play he made just before.

He also inspired his teammates to join in on the fun.

In the following clip, you’ll see several players doing lovely little penguin dives like Bosa’s. And then you’ll see whatever Coleman was going for.

It’s clear he’s having the best time of anyone, and why wouldn’t he?

Coleman was key for the Niners down the stretch, registering a season-high 20 runs as he salted the game away, sloshing through the Washington defense.

The Niners took what looked like a cold, wet three hours and turned it into an extension of their undefeated start. They embraced the sloppy conditions Sunday, so why not celebrate accordingly?
