Get ready for another week of live music in the Bay Area, highlighted by appearances from a couple of classic rock favorites. Here are some top picks:

REO Speedwagon

Vocalist-guitarist Kevin Cronin and company sounded great when they performed back in August at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, wowing the crowd with “Don’t Let Him Go,” “Take It on the Run,” “Time for Me to Fly” and other fan favorites.

So don’t miss REO Speedwagon – whose best-known offering, “Hi Infidelity,” was the top-selling album of 1981 in the U.S. – when it returns to the Bay Area to perform at the San Jose Civic on Oct. 19.

Phil Colllins

J Balvin

The Colombian reggaeton singer supports “Oasis,” his chart-topping collaboration with Bad Bunny, with a show on Oct. 17 at the SAP Center at San Jose on Oct. 17.

John Gorka
