Cardi B: Offset didn’t send that love note to Tekashi 6ix9ine’s girlfriend

Cardi B is most definitely not interested in another cheating scandal involving her husband Offset, especially one that involves her main legal enemy, Jade, the girlfriend of jailed rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine.

On Tuesday night, Cardi B claimed that Offset’s Instagram account was hacked — as a way of explaining how it appeared that Jade received a private message from him, suggesting he wanted to rekindle their alleged affair, Us Weekly reported.

Cardi, 26, took to Instagram herself to post a video in which she acknowledged that Offset, 27, had done some “dumb (expletive)” in the past — an apparent  reference to his past affairs with other women, who may include Jade.

But Cardi also proclaimed — with Offset standing in the background, holding their 16-month-old daughter Kulture: “We been so good. We had a sweet weekend. Life has been good. He wasn’t going to play himself like that.”

With that video, which has since been deleted, Cardi was apparently hoping to shut down any talk that her husband has reverted to some past destructive practices, including anything having to do with Jade, who is the central figure in the felony assault charges pending against her.

The specter of a new Jade-related issue emerged Tuesday when the Migos rapper’s Twitter account posted some raunchy, “NSFW messages” a minute apart, Us Weekly reported. The messages got fans’ attention before they were quickly deleted.

Then Jade posted a video to her Instagram account showing a direct message that appeared to have been send by Offset, HotNewHipHop.com reported.

The message was “Miss u fr,”  which didn’t look very good for Offset. Jade wrote back to Offset: “Your wife @iamcardib has a OPEN CRIMINAL CASE , why are you writing me you don’t respect her ??????? Theirs a lot of (expletive) I haven’t exposed yet , but theirs a time for that.”

The imbroglio involving Cardi B, Offset, Jade and Tekashi 6ix9ine goes back to August 2018 when Cardi B and Offset patronized the Angels Strip Club in Queens, which is popular with top figures in sports and entertainment.

Jade and her sister Baddie Gi worked as bartenders there. Various reports of Cardi’s assault charges against Jade say that she accused Jade of having an affair with Offset.

While Jade denied the affair, she alleges she was twice attacked at the strip club in August 2018. In the first incident in mid-August, Jade said she had gotten word that Cardi had targeted her for an attack, and she was “viciously” beaten by five people associated with the rapper, TMZ reported.  In an incident on Aug. 29, Cardi confronted Jade at the club. Police say Cardi and others threw bottles, chairs and hookah pipes in the clash.

The incidents led to Cardi being indicted on assault and harassment charges in June. She has pleaded not guilty.

During all this legal turmoil for Cardi, she and Offset’s marriage began to come apart. The hip-hop power couple split in December 2018 after one year of marriage. Cardi B said the breakup was “nobody’s fault” and “I guess we grew out of love.”

But by February they were back together and made their reunion official by attending the Grammy Awards together. In September, they celebrated their two-year anniversary with social media tributes to each other, Us Weekly reported.

“9/20/17 Happy marriage anniversary hubby,” Cardi B captioned a photo of the couple together. “We keep learning and growing. That’s what marriage about.”

Throughout the time that Cardi B was dealing with her marital and legal issues, Jade turned her attentions to Tekashi.

The rainbow-haired rapper and Instagram provocateur was arrested in November 2018 in a wide-ranging federal investigation into the crimes of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, a violent New York City street gang.

Tekashi, whose legal name is Daniel Hernandez, chose to plead guilty to racketeering and weapons charges and cooperate with authorities. He became the government’s star witness in the September trial of two alleged members of the gang. Tekashi said he had joined the gang to give his skyrocketing music career and bad-boy persona credibility.

Tekashi is due to be sentenced in the case later this month, and there is the possibility that his cooperation will allow him to go free.

As far as Jade is concerned, Tekashi’s incarceration hasn’t dimmed her regard for him, as she indicated in an Instagram photo she posted late last month, touting his musical accomplishments.
