PLEASANT HILL — The California Highway Patrol has lifted a Sig-alert after a multi-vehicle crash blocked multiple lanes of southbound Interstate 680, authorities said Wednesday.
Officers responded to the crash, reported just before 5 p.m. in lanes just north of the Treat Boulevard eastbound on-ramp.
At the scene, they learned that the collision had closed three right-hand lanes of traffic, leaving the first three left-hand lanes open but traffic apparently crawling and backed up to Highway 4.
A Sig-alert was issued at 5:39 p.m., and drivers in the area were advised to seek alternate routes. The Sig-alert was limited to the lone right-hand lane at 5:57 p.m. and lifted entirely at 6:07 p.m..
At least two people were taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for treatment of minor injuries.
