An overturned big rig spilled gravel onto Highway 29 early Wednesday resulting in major traffic delays just south of Napa, authorities said.
The incident was reported just before 6 a.m. near the Lake County Line in Calistoga, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
One southbound lane remained blocked as Caltrans crews cleared the gravel from the roadway, CHP said.
There was no immediate information on injuries.
The blocked lane is expected to reopen within the hour.
