Too Short, one of the most popular Bay Area hip-hop stars of all time, reportedly won’t face any criminal charges stemming from a woman’s rape accusations.
TMZ reports that that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has “rejected the case, citing insufficient evidence.” TMZ was the news organization that broke the story, telling how “Teana Louis sued the rapper claiming he sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions between June and October of 2016.”
It appears there simply wasn’t enough evidence to show that Louis didn’t consent to the sexual encounters.
Too Short was “adamant Teana conjured up the whole thing just to get into his pockets,” TMZ reports.
The 51-year-old Too Short, whose real name is Todd Anthony Shaw, was born in Los Angeles but was raised in Oakland. His best known albums include 1989’s “Life Is … Too Short,” 1992’s “Shorty the Pimp” and 1995’s “Cocktails.”
