Multi-car crash involving motorcycle brings traffic alert on Highway 4

BAY POINT — A motorcyclist and at least two other vehicles were involved in a crash that brought a traffic alert on Highway 4 early Monday, the California Highway Patrol said.

Initial reports confirmed by the CHP indicated the motorcycle driver was down in one of the lanes after the crash but alert. The CHP did  not have information on whether the motorcyclist suffered any serious injuries.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m.in the westbound directions near the San Marco Boulevard exit. The crash initially blocked three lanes of Highway 4.

The CHP issued a Sig Alert for severe traffic at 7:53 a.m. All lanes of the highway were opened by 8:10 a.m.
