A 70-year-old man was transported to the hospital Sunday morning after a fire broke out at a San Francisco hotel, authorities said.
The blaze was reported just after 9 a.m. at the Europa Hotel & Hostel, at 310 Columbus Ave., according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
The fire was contained to Room 126 at the North Beach hotel and was put out nearly 15 minutes after it started, the fire department said.
The man transported to the hospital was not identified, and his condition was not disclosed.
Another person was displaced from the fire.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
