City can’t repair streets, but can fund Japan trip?
As a voter in San Jose, I’m very disappointed in all the city council members who took a vacation to Japan on the taxpayers’ dime.
San Jose has budget issues and cannot even repair our streets, yet they spend our money on this?
If there was something to be learned by a visit to Japan, then the San Jose City Council should have voted on approving a trip by just a single council person, who could then report to other members and the public.
Its time to end these big travel budgets for each individual council person.
Instead have a smaller total travel budget for entire council.
Then vote on sending a single council person on a trip if its necessary to help San Jose.
End these vacations paid for by the taxpayers.
We voters will remember those who waste our tax dollars.
