Letter: Republicans have to vote for this guy to ensure the GOP makes it onto fall ballot

epublicans have to vote for this guy to ensure the GOP makes it onto fall ballot

Don’t split the Republican vote in the primary! If voters split the Republican vote in the gubernatorial primary, only Democrats will appear on the ballot in the fall.

John Cox is ahead in the polls and has raised more campaign funds; he’s the best choice to ensure a Republican candidate makes it onto the ballot. If Republican and Independent votes are split between Travis Allen and John Cox, it’s likely that neither will make it to the ballot.

If only Democrats appear in the two spots on the November ballot for governor, many Republicans may choose to ot vote at all resulting in losses to congressional, supervisorial and city council seats throughout the state.

Vote for John Cox in the June primary so that a Republican candidate is on the ballot in the fall. It’s time to be pragmatic and play to win. Don’t split the vote!
