Plan for third Fremont BARTstation an abuse of resources
Why does Fremont need a third BART station, especially in the middle of two that already exist?
The proposed station would be just over 2 miles from either existing station. This is an abuse of resources, specifically for the numbers of people it would serve. It is not needed here and the timing is wrong. The funds can be better utilized elsewhere, such as for increased security and parking at existing BART stations, improved roads plus traffic relief among other transportation issues.
These other pressing needs of the city should be considered before a third BART station. Come to the Irvington BART Community Meeting to hear their plans and to assert your opinion. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m May 23 at the Fremont Main Library in the Fukaya Room.
