An overturned tractor trailer caused major traffic delays early Monday on Highway 156 in Santa Clara County, officials said.
The incident was reported 5:32 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of Highway 156 just west of Highway 152 near Pacheco Pass, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
All eastbound lanes were blocked. A severe traffic alert was issued for the area.
Caltrans is reportedly planning to reopen the roadway by 8 a.m.
There was no immediate information on injuries or what caused the accident.
