Missing Dog Alert

He is 15 1/2 years old, partially deaf and has a weak hip so his back legs often collapse. I heard from a nice woman who called to say she saw a dog with a couple of homeless guys that frequent Staples and Nations off of Clayton Rd and that they had a leash on him but no collar. She thought it was suspicious since the dog looked to be well taken care of and that didn’t think he could belong to them. She called me back later to say she had talked to the Staples manager and he also saw them with a dog that he had never seen them with before. There was a police officer there as well who said that he will contact me if he finds them with a dog so I can see if he is mine or not.
My dog is so old that I don’t think he’d be able to walk that far (I live near Concord Neighborhood Park by Concord High) but he may have gotten there somehow. He doesn’t have his collar on since he is usually only indoors now but somehow he wandered outside around 11:30 when I left the garage open and has been missing since then. I got home at 3 pm and realized he was missing. I saw 2 homeless guys this morning in front of Togos on Treat without a dog and if these are the same 2 guys now with a dog, I’m part relieved and hoping that he is mine and part anxious to confront them and ask for him back if he is mine.. If there is any way to spread the word I am ever so thankful to you. He’s been with my family since he was a puppy so he is very dear to us.
