Man and Security Guard Stabbed in Concord Bar.

Bars in Concord are becoming a dangerous place to hang out. Go for a beer with a few friends and get stabbed instead. This comes from the CoCo Times. As usual, drinking and women contributed to the violence.
CONCORD — A man was arrested after he got into a fight with a fellow bar patron over a woman and stabbed him, and then stabbed a security guard who tried to subdue him, police said.
An argument broke out about 1:10 a.m. between a man and another patron of the Time Out sports bar in the 1800 block of Grant Street, said Lt. Brian Wiesendanger. The two men, arguing over a female bar patron, took their argument outside to the parking lot.
At some point during the argument, one patron, a 38-year-old Pittsburg man, punched the other in the face, Wiesendanger said. This prompted the punched man to pull out a knife and stab the man in the neck.

Any bar in Concord after 11:00 PM can be a bad place. I’ve tried it a few times. Every time i saw a fight break out. People don’t know how to drink and socialize anymore.

That place is fun but it can get sketchy at times. Glad to hear that everyone is alright.

Ohhh… Common John… Not every bar in Concord is a bad place!!!
El Rancho on Monument Blvd had a bad reputation. They’ve been around for 15 years and a 3+ years ago they had some problems. But then they cleaned it right up, remodeled (very nice) and even have off duty police officer (s) working security in the parking lot keeping everything peaceful.
Now you want to talk about a bad place?!?! Try Cadillac Ranch. They started off as a real nice Country Music bar / Night Club. Then they brought over Tommy T’s Comedy Club along with Hip-Hop Rap Night Club. That brought the two sharing the night club with 2 different dance floors. Now, correct me if I’m wrong…. But, if you have a bunch of drunk white people with country music & a bunch of black people with Hip-Hop Rap that’s adding more than fuel to the fire of don’t know how to drink & socialize. Get a clue… If you want to really live your life in the fast lane… Go kick it in Oakland!!! I’m sure it’s safer than Concord!

I stand by what i said. I’ve been in Oakland many times. I’ve been to night clubs (hip hop) drinking with no problems. It sounds like you need to get out more. Some of the places you named are known trouble spots. It’s too bad you can’t get past the racial stuff. Good luck to you.
