Last Chance To Get a Hummer in Concord

FitzPatrick Chevrolet Hummer, a Concord auto dealership, announced it will close its doors in mid-May. After 61 years of operation over 50 employees will be put in the same situation.
The dealership has cutting costs and letting employees go in an effort to stay in business but all of the efforts done by the owner in recent months have not worked.

The company website doesn’t indicate anything about this and is still taking appointments for service.

I’m sorry to see them go. I remember being with my Dad when he bought our Bel-Air station wagon (at their previous location). But this is the market in action. When a company like Chevy makes products that are not accepted in the market for a long enough time, it goes under. Every time I see a picture of that huge GM round headquarters building in Detroit I just think of the arrogance and stupidity of not bothering to understand who the customers really are and what they want.

Be careful. I know some people who define “hummer” quite differently.
