Fight at Park and Shop Two People Beaten and Robbed

Shortly before 4PM a call was put out on the Concord Police radio reporting a fight in Park and Shop. Initially it was reported as a large fight involving teenagers so a few different units responded. When the Concord Police arrived they found 4 females were involved and two of them fled the scene. Seems like two girls beat up two other girls and stole the purse of one of them. The two girls that stuck around had bloody noses and said they were beat up and robbed. A crowd of people had collected around the area of the action near Burger King and Mimi’s.
The Concord Police were getting calls about people in the crowds around Mimi’s Cafe being involved. The girls purse was recovered but money was missing from it.
As it turns out the CPD found the two girls that fled the scene not very far away. They were “bloodied up” based on the on scene officer and they claim they were the victims. Go figure. If you were the victim then why did you run when the police showed up?

People run from fights for lots of reasons especially when a crowd forms that may be hostile, After all it would seem that no one chased down the thieves.
However, it does seem like running will bring the majority of bets that they were guilty of something.
The more interesting aspect of the story would be a follow up to find out
1. who really was the victim
2. was anyone arrested
3. was there any further investigation on it
4. are the police going to pursue the matter considering the DA’s office is trying to avoid prosecutions.
More importantly is this sort of investigation (the asking of details as a minimum) within the capacity of the blog audience>?

Asking for more details is perfectly fine.
No arrests were made. Both parties wanted a report filed and they planned on going to the hospital for check-ups.
