Concord Serial Bank Robber Hunted By FBI

Concord has had a few bank robberies in the past few months. Back in Sept. I wrote about the bank robberies in Concord and it’s no surprise that the F.B.I. is on the hunt.
This is the criminal being searched for by the FBI and they want our help.
A man wearing a ski mask and armed with a semiautomatic handgun robbed a bank Aug. 8 in the afternoon before making his getaway on foot, police said.
No one was hurt in the the robbery occurred about 2:20 p.m. at Mechanics Bank at 1170 Concord Ave.
The robber walked in, pulled out the black handgun and ordered all employees and two customers to the floor, Sgt. Matt Morrissey said.
He took out two black plastic bags and ordered tellers to fill it up with cash. They complied and the robber left with an undisclosed amount of money. He was also given an exploding die pack.
“We have good surveillance photos,” Morrissey said.
He was last seen walking toward a nearby Trader Joe’s grocery store. Police found a ski mask behind the store .
“We assume he found his way to a vehicle which would have been parked on Burnett Avenue,” Morrissey said.
The robber was described as a white man in his late 20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build. He also wore blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and tan work boots.

Mayor you were the first blogger to acknowledge the serious crime issues facing our community. Now things are getting even heavier. Robberies and burglaries are now a common occurrence. Great job as usual. I’m sure it will get worse with the economic downturn!

Mayor, if you read the front page of the S.F. Chronicle they talk of a bank robbery suspect in custody. He robbed some east bay bank. He also has a tattoo on his hand. Maybe our guy. Check it out!

From my experience, I have nothing but good things to say about the FBI. Naturally there are exceptions but I haven’t run into any. Certainly had far worse experiences with the CIA. I don’t want to go into details but my case is similair to this mans Boris Korczak
