I know MANY with flu like symptoms staying home. My son has been sick several days with flu symptoms but even doc said stay home with fluids and fever/pain relief and only come in or call back if worse or breathing labored, etc. I don't think they want sick people flocking to the doctors if it would be treated the same as any other flu. At least in my case they said no need to come in. And, luckily he is getting better, etc. And that only addresses the people they know about.. I know MANY with flu like symptoms staying home.
