Murder in Clayton

According to Postal Inspector spokesman Jeff Fitch, the homicide occurred at approximately 11 a.m. inside the post office building. Investigative teams from the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department, Concord and Clayton police departments as well as the U.S. Postal Inspector Service are conducting a joint investigation of the homicide. The deadly stabbing was the first murder to occur in Clayton in 13 years.
The information has been released on the victim. Clayord a local blogger identified the victim as 73 year old Raymond Casso of Clayton.

Really glad they caught that guy. Too bad he has to go through the legal system.

I read that one or two off-duty officers were involved in the suspects apprehension. I hope the off-duty officers receive a well deserved commendation for their heroic actions.

We don’t know if Moore was taking revenge on this guy because he was having land/home stolen from him by eminent domain which always leaves the victim with the full balance of mortgage and no place to live and that the “victim” of the stabbing was responsible for stealing private property. We don’t know if this old guy was a sex offender that has gotten away with it for years. If this is the case, we might want to thank the guy for getting rid of a societal termite. Let’s wait for the facts and then come to a conclusion. Let’s face it, or justice system stinks when it comes to the rights of women and children and our government turns a blind eye when it can make money making citizens homeless and bankrupt.

I can’t believe that anyone would write something so horrible. Raymond Casso was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and friend. He was picking up his mail at his PO Box, which he has done for the past 19 years. He was a kind and happy man and the person that wrote that awful stuff about him should be ashamed of himself. How dare you write something like that when you didn’t even know the man?

With a population of 12k~? and no murder in 13 years i’m sure this hit the small city hard.
Glad they caught the guy and i hope he gets what he deserves. Heres hoping…
