BART Police Excessive Force? You decide.

New video from over the weekend shows a BART Police officer dealing with an obnoxious BART passenger. What happens next is clear on the video captured by a train passenger. Lots of debate on the news about if the BART police officer was out of line. What do you think?

I thought it was a job well done by Bart P.D. That officer sustained a serious injury and still maintained control and total professionalism throughout the ordeal. Way to go Bart P.D !!!!

I have heard of the controversy and went to click on the You Tube video above and got a notice that it has been removed .

First of all, if you watch closely, you can see the guy put his hand through the window, his head did not go through.
Second, this is not excessive force at all. The officer remained calm and in control the entire time.
I have no problem with how this played out.

This particular officer is one of BART’s best. That unruly passenger kicked a woman on Sam Trans earlier that day and was arrested, why was he let of jail only to continue harassing people. I’m tired of the drain on public resources that these people cause. BART needs to take steps to keep this people out; now that idiot is represented by John Burris and BART has ANOTHER lawsuit on its hands. Oscar Grant was in out of jail and I read ont the Contra Costa Times forum that he had 12, yes 12, currently pending criminal actions. Talk about a drain on resources in life and he is continuing to drain everyone in death.
All the passengers applauded this officer on BART and we are friggin tired of these creeps being treated with kid Gloves; hell they more rights than the paying passengers and I bet that jerk never pays his fare.
His whining mother that was on the news should take care of his pathetic drunk ass.
I hope that officer goes back to work for the Co Co Sheriff because we could sure use him in Bay Point. I don’t even think the Sheriff patrols out there any more.
If BART doesn’t start sticking up for its own a little better, they aren’t going to have any police officers.
AND WHY AREN’T THE OFFICERS RIDING THE DAM TRAINS BART? We have to wait way too long for a response. That officer was right there night; the train wasn’t hardly even held up. Some nights we can’t even get a BART Police Officer PERIOD.
BART Rather waste money on defending these dam lawsuits instead of giving us the serivce we deserve and have paid for 100 times over in our property taxes.
GET RID OF LINTON JOHNSON, $300,000 A YEAR BART PAYS THAT FOR HIS PATHETIC REPORTING.
