I got a message from DrDuran while I was hanging out in downtown Concord about meeting for a beer and I got to thinking, why not get a bunch of people together so we can all chat IRL (In real life). The idea has been floated around for a while about a meet up or TweetUp in the area and it just never came to fruition. The time may be upon us.

After some chatter back and forth with a few people in the area that were interested, I think we can make a meeting of the minds happen. It won’t be a huge crowd but even if a dozen people show up, it would be worth it just to see everyone. There is so much support for the local blogging community and our area as a whole so getting together to share some stories and get to know eachother sounds like fun.

Because of the little Mayor, I can’t travel too far but the idea of Orinda, Lafayette or the general area would be fine with me. Diablo Magazine shared some interest and I think George aka CCTimes is out at SXSW but I’m finding out.
