My head is still spinning from the amount of traffic and emails I am getting on this site. I just answered an email from a Boy Scout looking for information because he Googled Mayor of Concord and got me. Thank you for the support of the growing Mayor of Concord blog. After initially launching the site just a WEEK ago and adding the Concord job board, the next step was to get some additional content on the site and local businesses that deserve some ‘extra’ exposure seemed like a good start. I can’t leave the site as it is, I’m a blogger, this is what I do!

Based on some of the emails I have received, I am going to be adding a “Concord Business Focus” section to the site to replace one of the news feeds on the homepage. This new section will be to highlight a Concord business offering a product or service pointing out what they do and a review by ‘the Mayor’. This can be your restaurant, print company, whatever. I have a few interested companies that took the initiative and have contacted me already about being highlighted on the site and though they are willing to pay money for the review just for the additional exposure on a website focused on Concord, I have not decided what, if any charge is going to be made. I would like to know if you have a Concord business that you would like added. Send me a message through the contacts page if you are interested.

Focus on Concord

Highlighting some of the businesses in Concord that have a small budget for marketing but are large on their services is going to be the focus of the section. That’s not to take away from other businesses that want to be featured on this site. I am an equal opportunity promoter. You do not need a website for me to write about you (but it will help) and the only stipulation is that your company is located in Concord.

More Concord Treats to come

I have started writing out my plan for this site and there are several things I will have done in the next week or two to build content and make the site more dynamic. With the internet just about anything is possible and between Social Media and other Web 2.0 treats I plan on doing some good stuff.
