Nothing beats a local radio station that has awesome music playing 24/7. KVHS has been running since 1964 starting as an isolated station only on the campus of Clayton Valley High School and has grown over the past 44 years into a full functioning radio station run by students and local residents wanting to learn about the radio business.

90.5 The Edge Rocks

The station doesn’t carry to everywhere I go in the Bay Area but the preset button on the radio gets hit when I drive back into range. They play a lot of great music from current alternative and active rock tunes and some of the oldies. The demographic spans from middle school to the older generations.

From local radio to mainstream media

Looking at the KVHS radio station website you can see the list of people that have made it in the business. An example would be Jeff Richards who went from KVHS over to Saturday Night Live. You can see all of the Alumni here.

KVHS has been around longer than I have and with the communities help my grandchildren can appreciate a great local radio station. KVHS 90.5 THE EDGE works entirely off donations from the local businesses in the Concord area. They have an extremely generouse advertising rate. For every $5.00 you can get a mention on their radio station. If you have customers that like listening to alternative rock, you can get advertising to your immediate demographis and be sure that they are all local listeners.

KVHS is a non-profit organization which needs your generous donations and contributions! Every donation is 100% tax deductible, but the best part is we make contributor announcements on the air to thank you.
