Burglary and sleeping pills

I don’t know if sleeping pills like Ambien have anything to do with this but it would be safe to say that the owner of the house that was broken into was in a coma like sleep when her door was kicked in.

A Concord woman woke up Saturday morning to find that someone had kicked in her front door, burglarized her house and stolen a car from her garage while she was sleeping, Concord police Cpl. Kerry Cerletti said today.
The victim, who lives in the 900 block of Helix Drive, told police the cat burglar must have entered her home sometime between midnight and 6:30 a.m.
The burglar stole a 40-inch flat-screen television and other items in addition to the car, a 2007 Acura MDX with license plate 5XYB485.
As of this morning, the car had not been found, Cerletti said.
The burglar also reportedly drove a second car out of the garage and parked it on the street, Cerletti said.
So her front door was kicked in, the perps stole a LARGE tv, moved some cars out of the garage and eventually drove away with the car that they could fit the 40 inch TV into. That’s a big TV so it must ave been a two man job or one large guy that could walk around with something like that in his hands.

What the hell? How do you sleep through something like that?

Thankfully the lady wasn’t harmed in the burglary. The crooks really have some balls kicking in a door while someone is home and spending the time they did in the house. It’s a sad story but I can’t imagine that this lady will be sleeping well for the next few months.

They moved one of the cars to the street? These criminals are a piece of work. Are things this bad in concord that even locking your doors at night isn’t enough?

This baffles me. I know some people sleep heavily but I cant think how someone could sleep through their door being kicked in. I wake up when the cat walks along the side of the house. That’s an extreme but a door busting in make a very loud noise.
